Width in Inches: 2"
Length in Inches: 12"

Hickory heartwood is brown or reddish brown in color and is sold as "Red Hickory". The sapwood is light in color and sold as "White Hickory". Hickory is typically straight grained, but can be wavy or irregular. Texture is somewhat coarse.

We find hickory to be used frequently when making hardwood flooring and cabinetry.  It’s hardness and durability work well in those applications and its normal characteristics give it a rustic or country type appeal that is very popular with designers today.

The varying lighter and darker shades of its contrasting heartwood and sapwood give it a very appealing look which many refer to as “calico”.

-Thickness is 1" nomial or ¾" finished:  This mean that the boards are cut at 1" and after drying and surfacing it finishes at 3/4" thickness.

-Kiln dried

-S4S : finished on 4 sides

-Grade: Premium Grade lumber can include some defects, but it's usually at least 83.33% clear wood over its entire surface.
